Intensity Guide

Workflow Tips

  • Start at 30% intensity on a new LUT โ€” then push toward your creative vision from there.
  • Always check skin tones at your chosen intensity. Oversaturated skin is the most common LUT mistake.
  • Teal & Orange looks most natural between 20โ€“45%. Above 60% it reads as intentional stylisation.
  • For documentary work, Matte Fade and Warm Film at 25โ€“40% give an authentic look without feeling "graded."
  • High Contrast and Bleach Bypass suit narrative and music video โ€” push them as hard as the scene allows.
  • LUTs designed for log footage (S-Log, C-Log) will look wrong on already-corrected or Rec.709 clips. Always convert first.
